Taking Back Sunday - We Play Song LP

Label:        Brookvale Records ‎– BROOK 211
Format:      Vinyl, 12", 45 RPM, RSD Exclusive Release
Released:   21 Apr 2012
Genre:        Rock
Style:         Emo, Punk

Quick facts - This is a limited pressing of Taking Back Sunday's official release for Record Store Day 2012. Only 2000 copies were released, 1400 black vinyls, 300 blue vinyls and 300 orange vinyls.

The packaging was very simple, no inserts / lyric sheets or whatever, which is common for LP releases. I like the cover art. It looks like a man falling down from the water to the sky! They did a good job on this one, the cover art was one of the reason why I bought this vinyl (aside from being limited pressing)

The vinyl is not 180 grams and a little light due to being a 4-track LP. It was kept very simple and bare, the label only has the "taking back sunday" and track names. It comes with white paper sleeves. There's no inserts but you can find all the information you need like track titles all other stuff right at the back.

Songs in this LP were recorded live (acoustics) in two different location, Side A was recorded at Fingerprints Records and Side B was recorded at Looney Tunes.

Tracklist
A1 Ghost Man On Third
A2 Your Own Disaster
B1 Faith (When I Let You Down)
B2 Great Romances Of The 20th Century

John Nolan and Adam Lazzara both on acoustic guitar and vocals. Side A starts with introducing the band and kicks of the first cut - Ghost Man On Third from their first album so it's kinda fun hearing a twist on an old song.

What I really like about this vinyl is that it's recorded live and uncut! So you'll hear people requesting for songs, you can hear the bands mistakes, and just the conversation between TBS and their audiences felt like I was there- right! because vinyl adds wider sound stage and warmth to the overall listening experience.

I'd say i'm very happy with this purchase and this will have a special location in my cabinet. It's recorded live and most of all an RSD 2012 release exclusive.

And yeah before I forgot I just would like to mention that I really appreciate the cover because they made the side thick enough to include the band name and title of the LP just like the regular full album. This is not the case for most LP releases.
