Ink & Dagger was a punk band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that was active in the 1990s. The two permanent members throughout the band's career were guitarist Don Devore and vocalist Sean Patrick McCabe. Other members included Ashli State, Terry Yerves, Ryan McLaughlin, Joshua Brown, Jennifer Park and Eric Wareheim. Band members frequently incorporated references to vampires in their music, painted their faces, and played with fake blood. Some members were previously in Crud is a Cult, The Mandela Strike Force and Frail. ( from wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ink_%26_Dagger)
I have to put a reference on the bands profile since they are already disbanded. Thanks to Mr. Wiki.
There are 4 versions of this 7" LP all released in 1996 except for this one. This is the CLEAR vinyl with regular cover limited to 666 pcs, and it also comes with download card. This was recorded last 1996 at Chillfactor Dungeon but was only released in 2010.
The 7" Clear Vinyl looks really nice but the label looks really cheap, but who cares - this is hardcore punk! The only thing missing is the track list on the label and SIDE A B markings both sides looks the same. The vinyl is so light but it feels stiff and solid.
Tracklist:
1 | The Changeling | 2:27 |
2 | Frigid Shortcomings | 1:47 |
3 | Newspaper Tragedy | 1:13 |
4 | Bloodlust | 2:47 |
5 | My Ladylove | 2:26 |
Few more details - Gatefold cover on 7", it also has a white inner sleeves, and lyrics to all 5 tracks. Tracks are very short, and deep dark punk rock. I think the sound of vinyl wouldn't matter if it is fat or thin, it would not make any difference at all.
Ink & Dagger Love Is Dead 7" Vinyl is available online on Amazon and in Mind Rot Records. The other four variants of the original release are: white w/ tombstone cover, tour press, white (real) blood-splattered acetate covers, white left-over press with “girl on stake” cover, white with vampire covers, white with “test press” written on them. It would be hard to get them all especially those that was released by Happy Days Records and not to mention expensive.
I usually post updates Vinyl Grimes' facebook page so please give it a shot and like the page -
